Eliza immediately recognized our house in Belize after our trip to the States. The time difference has taken its toll and so we (Eliza) have been waking up consistently between 4 and 5AM. It's kind of brutal and we're hoping things get back to normal soon.
This morning around 6:45AM, as we dove into breakfast, Eliza declared, "I feed myself!" Wanting to encourage this new found independence, I handed her a spoon for her coconut yogurt and turned my back for about 30 seconds to scrub a few dishes.
When I turned back around, she was rubbing the coconut yogurt all over her body. It's possible she's discovered an effective new spa treatment, but all it felt to me was sticky. So by 7:04AM, both breakfast and a bath had been accomplished.
Later, we did a little light reading, reviewing the alternative fuel article in the latest issue of National Geographic.
[this is good] Love the posts. Eliza is sooo cute. I am so sorry I missed you all while you were here. January is around the corner!!! Hope David is feeling better.
